Please Review Macbeth :-)

Now that the book is finally out, I am now soliciting for reviews. Ideally, people that have recently bought the book (or are reading it free via Kindle Unlimited) are still reading the book and will be the first to give a review. However, until then, the only option for me is to keep encouraging people to try it out and give it a read.

Why Reviews are so important...

Well for obvious reasons... For me, it is about feedback. What do people think about my book? Is it good, bad, or what is it lacking to get it to perfect. How is the quality of writing? Now, of course, these are subjective matters but they build up my profile as a writer.

Other than what reviews mean to me, they mean a lot to other people who will come across the book and figure out if they would like to buy it or read it.  One blogger correctly points out that reviews are social proof of what people think about your product and they do help influence others purchasing (or reading in some cases) decisions.

Amazon Rankings and Reviews

Now reviews aren't the most important aspect to having a successful book on Amazon but they do contribute to Amazon's ranking system. I will get more into this in another article but, just FYI:

Currently at the time of writing, here is how Macbeth MacFinlay of Scotland ranks in its top 3 genre classifications...

  • #17236 in Action & Adventure Fiction (Kindle Store)
  • #718 in Historical Scottish Fiction
  • #391 in Historical Irish Fiction

So click on the "Get your copy now!" image above, read the sample or buy the book and leave a review! Let's see if we can raise these rankings!!
