How does God work? Part I

Image
So I have been thinking a lot about God and how possible it would be for me to try and explain God to a Gen Z in a way they would understand and also perhaps before using the Bible or invoking Bible verses. Now firstly, I strongly believe that the biggest proof of God's existence outside the natural awe of the world we live in, is the Bible but suppose this was taken away from the argument and one had to explain to a modern audience of the post-millenials in a context that would try to explain all that God is and how essentially, God works... and so... In the beginning... Let us suppose God is a super learned and super accomplished person with a PHd in Software Engineering and one in Biology and Physics, among other awesome scientific exploits. Now God with His achievements decides to work on His greatest work and He has a huge plan that He has purposed in Himself and He decides to implement this plan. Now before we get down deep into God's plan, I would like to explain the s...

Introducing Nzym: A White Paper on the Programming Language that Will Revolutionize Multimedia

Image
Introduction  Nzym is a new programming language that focuses on making programming easier, simpler, and faster, quickening production time to even produce better results, especially for multimedia applications. At the core of Nzym is a script file object that can exist on its own or be linked in conjunction with others. It is through these scripted objects that the Nzym interpreter can generate programs and content pages. This document serves to introduce this language and the new concepts therein. Nzym Syntax  The basic syntax of Nzym is very simple. Objects are created by assigning a value to a variable of the appropriate type. For example, to create a new object of type Number, you would write the following: Number myInteger = 10 ; Methods are called on objects by using the dot notation. For example, to call the Add method on an object of type Number, you would write the following: myInteger. Add = 6 ; // If the value of myInteger was ...

Making a Turn-based Team Brawler Engine

Image
So lately I have been interested in making a game similar to  Star Wars™ Galaxy of Heroes and  DC Legends , but themed differently with African heroes and stories. DC Legends game play Now these games are available online and for mobile devices and they offer a game play in which you assemble a team and fight against other teams controlled by the game's AI. The opponent teams are usually assembled as part of the game's story mode but you can also play against teams created by other players around the world (which the AI also controls). Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes - AI in action As you play, you discover or add on characters to your roster and you can eventually have different teams. Each character will have a set of unique abilities (some which may need to be unlocked) and at times there are also boosts that come along with the character using those abilities. Assembling a certain cast of characters may have those characters benefit from their shared ability set...

Please Review Macbeth :-)

Image
Now that the book is finally out, I am now soliciting for reviews. Ideally, people that have recently bought the book (or are reading it free via Kindle Unlimited) are still reading the book and will be the first to give a review. However, until then, the only option for me is to keep encouraging people to try it out and give it a read. Why Reviews are so important... Well for obvious reasons... For me, it is about feedback. What do people think about my book? Is it good, bad, or what is it lacking to get it to perfect. How is the quality of writing? Now, of course, these are subjective matters but they build up my profile as a writer. Other than what reviews mean to me, they mean a lot to other people who will come across the book and figure out if they would like to buy it or read it.  One blogger correctly points out that reviews are social proof of what people think about your product and they do help influence others purchasing (or reading in some cases) decisions. ...

Macbeth - How it all came to be...

Image
With 1 day to go till launch... I thought I would discuss where the inspiration to write a series on Macbeth came from... so let's go back in time to the early 2000s Macbeth was one of our set books for Literature class and I took pride in reading ahead. At the same time, I was also the school librarian and so getting myself a copy of the Shakespeare play, along with commentary, was not so difficult to do. I read everything from the substance that made the play to the sources that Shakespeare used to bring out his story... Yes, I am talking about you Raphael Holinshed ! Several things stood out for me from the whole story and the tragedy that was portrayed in the whole production (not just the ending). The realisation that came to Irish-German actor Michael Fassbender when he played the iconic title character in a film version of the play in 2015, is the same one that I had over a decade before that. Shakespeare's Macbeth suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder! S...

Macbeth - There's Shakespeare's though...?

Image
From the time I first announced that I was writing a novel based on the historical Scottish King Macbeth, I was inundated with people referring to Shakespeare's Macbeth, whilst referring to my work. So let me just say just this once, unequivocally, that my Macbeth and Shakespeare's Macbeth are two completely different characters. In a few blog posts to come, I will outline a lot more on my Macbeth, the character and the book series as a whole. Just for the record, a few points to note about my Macbeth is: He's based on the historical King Macbeth who reigned over a prosperous Scotland for over 17 years The first book covers a fraction of his life, mostly just after his defeat at the Battle of Dunsinane (1054) and his early life from about 1005-1032. It is historical fiction but will be a great source for conversation and debate as I have sensationalised a few things here and there, especially where historical records and documents are not completely clear on the sp...

Forget (and don't read) anything I wrote before 2020!

Seriously... do not READ anything I wrote before 2019 or released before 2020! Why?  Because those were mostly random ramblings, without planning or structure or meaningful substance of any kind. They were mostly fueled by "great ideas" that I had under the influence of some drugs or sorts (alcohol usually) and the false overwhelming sense of invincibility. So? Read everything else that I wrote (or rather released) from 2020... Why? Because these are articles or stories (or novels) with: substance,  structure,  thorough planning,  proper grammar checks and so much more that the old stuff didn't have Okay... so? So for my Blogger stuff, I will still keep them informal, the same as my social media stuff... I am not deleting my old stuff (yet). The old articles will still be there but I will be pushing you to read the newer articles and then there are the novels... Novels? Yes... Just released my "first" novel... yeah it's the first that ...
